Reply with quote | #1 | The folks at Off Road USA Trails are putting together a group ride in the fall of 2009 for anyone that is interested in having fun with us on ATV and dirt bikes or side by sides.... We are a very causal group of riders that like to enjoy each others company and meet new friends to ride with.... We will be riding from Aug 25th 2009 to the end of October 2009. Starting off in Colorado mountains due to the great Summer weather in the mountains and the heat in the Utah desert. Would like to move to Utah in late Sept when it is cooler and ride some of the great trails in Moab and souranding areas.
Please help us out by suggesting places to ride in either state (so we can begin to plan our itinerary) and please join us. Their is no cost what so ever, we are just a group of great guys and gals that like to bike off road and meet new folks in the sport so we can grow this into a semi-annual event. I will be out there the entire time, however anyone may come along for as short or as long as they wish. Ride one day or ride the entire two months..... It is up to you. We will try to arrange RV campgrounds and Motor Inns to accommodate our guest in the same general area. We will ride in areas where they rent bikes and ATV'S so if you prefer to fly in and ride that will be cool to.
I would like this to grow to a yearly event to give everyone the opportunity to ride this great country of ours and more..... Perhaps the Ba ha to Alaska in the future.
Come on folks, lets make this happen. We can all put our heads together to come up with ideas for lodging, tools for repair and more. Perhaps some could even hook up for ride and RV sharing.
Any Ideas, please note it on the board or call me at 727-641-9638.
Dan Hood..... Still trying to learn to ride and still trying to grow up (at 55).
And Remember...."pay no attention to the man behind the curtain"

I'm planning a trip out west to do the same. Where do you plan to start in Colorado? I was recently out in Moab and the trail riding out there was spectacular in a 4x4 truck. This time there will be on a Honda CRF450X in the back to get to some places that truck couldn't go. Canyonlands National Park has a 100 mile loop to explore and camp. The Needles section has plenty of off road trails, need to bring extra petrol. The Maize section on the other side of the river is completly primative only 4x4 access. Keep me informed about the trip. Do you have any suggestions for the mountains around Highlands, NC, I'll be up there prior to going west. |
